Our Story


For over 35 years, the Nahawi family has been a key player in the construction industry in the region.  To this day, all three Nahawi brothers lead large-scale construction companies, from which Nahawi Décor Contracting was originally founded. The company started operating and doing interior fit-out work in 2005, with its first project being the Sharjah SAIF Zone main headquarters.

Managed by Laila Nahawi, Nahawi Décor Contracting introduced high-end residential design within the company, which allowed the firm to grow and cement itself as a preeminent interior design company in the region. After 10 years of leading the firm, Laila Nahawi retired, passing on the legacy to her daughter, Hiba Nahawi.

Hiba Nahawi brings 10 years of experience in commercial design into the Nahawi Group and has rebranded the company with a fresh, bold and modern look… and so Nahawi Design Studio was born.

About Hiba Nahawi

Hiba brings with her over a decade of experience as an interior designer in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. Her global experience allows her to create harmonious settings that enhance the lives of her clients, making every interaction with their redesigned environment a memorable experience. Hiba’s devotion to detail is surpassed only by her passion for experiential design. Her welcoming and calm personality reflects qualities typically found in her designs.

Hiba is REVIT and CAD trained and has a Cite Management Certificate in Engineering. She has a B.F.A in Interior Design from the American University in Dubai and a Masters of Interior Design from Florence Design Academy in Florence, Italy.
